Obituary of Sr. Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Albert Lloyd Jones, Sr., age 81, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Trinity Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kenneth Pack and Rev. John Kimball officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Mr. Jones retired from Berry Packing Company in maintenance. He was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God Church where he served faithfully. Mr. Jones served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosie Lee McDonald Jones; children, Albert Lloyd Jones, Jr. and wife Joyce, Ronald Dale Jones, Douglas Wayne Jones, Sr. and wife Judy, Belinda Sue Jones and son Sidney Matthew Jones; sisters, Mary Alice Hales, Martha Lee Jones Black and husband Wayne, Kathryn Yvonne Jones Cumpton and husband Roy, Carolyn Faye Jones, Etta Marie Jones; brothers, Edgar Leon Jones and wife Dorothy, Nelson A. Jones and wife Dossie, Gerald DeWayne Jones and wife Glenda, Kenny Edward Jones; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Scoggins and friend Richard, Kristy Lynn Crawford and husband Joseph, Terri Viola Perkins and husband Cody, Sherri Rose Johnson and husband Rod, Douglas Wayne Jones, Jr. and wife Leigh Ann, Stacy Kosmatin and husband Ray, Pamela McIntosh and husband Clay and twenty-two great grandchildren. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his grandson, Albert Lloyd Jones III, parents, Albert Elcord Jones and Alice Chunn Jones and brother, Charles Sidney Jones. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 5PM - 8 PM and Monday, August 12, 2013 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Pack, Todd Hughes, Clarence Lowe, Howard Smith, Kenny Watts, and James Morgan. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Pennington, Jimmy Arant, and Bernard Breland.
