Obituary of Carolyn Ann Yates Bryant

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Ann Yates Bryant, age 73, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Yocum officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bryant, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Lagniappe Health Care. She was employed as a teller at Bastrop National Bank for many years. In 1995 she went to work for Goldens of Bastrop, serving as Gift Shop manager. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Bryant was a talented pianist and often volunteered her time to play at local churches including Twin Oaks Baptist Church and New Friendship Baptist Church. She was a member of the Bastrop Professional Womens Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bryant; parents, Jerome and Opal Yates; and brother, Dudley Yates.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her son, Andy Bearden and wife Karen; brother, Bobby Joe Yates and wife Edna of Bastrop, LA; sister-in-law, Kay Yates of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren; step-children, Charles Bryant, Karen Abernathy, Danny Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Moeller, Wayne Goyne, Charles Burns, Max Lucas, Quenton Burchfield, Bobby Nugent, and Paul Dark. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Carter Cox, Boots Farrar, Don Wills, and her co-workers at Goldens of Bastrop.
