Obituary of Ernestine "Dumpy" Loveday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine "Dumpy" Loveday, age 80, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. Mike Loveday officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Loveday, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Loveday, and daughter, Monie Loveday Mixon. She was a member of Cedar Baptist Church and served as chaplain for the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Loveday loved to serve others and especially loved her family. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Shrode and husband Joe of Toccoa, GA; son, Rev. Mike Loveday and wife Virginia of Bastrop, LA; three granddaughters, Heather Carnegie and husband Ian, Julie Young and husband Paul, Tasha Poe; grandson, Randy Shrode and wife Joy; five great granddaughters, Casey, Erin, Alisha, Leah, Bella; and five great grandsons, Jordan, Caleb, Jacob, James, and Steven. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Shrode, Ron Loveday, Melvin Richard, Brandon Loveday, Eric Hightower, and Danny McGraw.
