Obituary of Opal M. Gregory

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal M. Gregory, age 83, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with David Burkett and Daniel Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gregory, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013. She was co-owner of Gregory Oil Company and a member of Central Church of Christ. Mrs. Gregory loved to spend time with her great granddaughter, reading, and shopping with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gregory, and her daughter, Sheila Gregory.
Mrs. Gregory is survived by her sister, Merry Lynn Jones; two brothers, Norman McDowell and Gorman McDowell; grandson, Will Eubanks; and great granddaughter, Sheila Eubanks.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mel Malone, George Malone, Charles Malone, Jake Malone, Jonathan Malone, and Shane McDowell.
Lunch will follow for the family at Central Church of Christ in the fellowship hall following the graveside service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Childrens Cancer Research.
