Obituary of Joy Thomas Gardner

Funeral Services for Joy Thomas Gardner, age 68, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday May 16, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams and Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Goldens. Mrs. Gardner, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008. She was a homemaker and a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gardner; and parents, John & Lessie Thomas. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Dement & husband Royce of Marion, LA, Alice Arnaud of Bastrop, LA; son, Steve Harbour & wife Donna of Hot Springs, AR; two sisters, Viola Rogers of Converse, LA, Mary Lois Womack of Mansfield, LA; two brothers, Dan Thomas of Converse, LA, Johnny Thomas of Converse, LA; five grandchildren, Tracey Fife, Jason Dement, Jimmy Arnaud II, Sarah Wood, T.J. Dement; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jackie Owens, Ralph Downs, and Bertie Taylor. Servings as pallbearers will be Lance Thomas, Jamey Thomas, Eli Thomas, Chuck Thomas, Bradley Thomas and Lee Brantley. Honorary pallbearers will be B.J. Thomas and Tyler Thomas.
