Obituary of Mavis Goyne

Funeral services for Mavis Coleson Fowler Goyne, 82, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Loche Arbor Cemetery, Swartz, LA under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Goyne, a homemaker and member of the Quarter Century Club at International Paper Company, died Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Morris and her late husband David P. Morris, Sr. of Kenner, LA, Julie Daigle and her husband Keith of Dacula, GA; two sisters, Nell Powell of Monroe, LA, Jean Reneau of Swartz, LA; brother, Robert L. Coleson, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, David P. Morris, Jr., Damon C. Morris, Melissa Danielle Daigle, Jordan Paul Daigle and numerous nieces and nephews and grand neices and grand nephews. She is preceded in death by husbands, Gibson R. Fowler and Vernard Clyde "Bunk" Goyne; daughter, Nina Jo Fowler and twin brother, Travis Coleson. Pallbearers will be Jerry Garlington, Keith Daigle, Gene Hahn, David Morris,Jr., John Garlington and Walt Garlington. Visitation will be Saturday, July 17, 2004 from 1 pm until service time at Golden Funeral Home.
