Obituary of Melba Joy Sylvester

Funeral services for Mrs. Melba Joy Sylvester, 82, of Sherwood, AR, formerly of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Don Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.
Mrs. Sylvester, a retired bank teller with the Bank of Morehouse and member of Indianhead Lake Baptist Church (Sherwood, AR), passed away at her residence on Friday, May 16, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Owen and husband O.J. of Sherwood, AR; son, Danny Sylvester of Little Rock, AR; grandson, Beau Sylvester and wife Laura of Alexandria, LA; three great grandchildren, Christian, Patrick and Colin Sylvester.
Mrs. Sylvester is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne P. Sylvester; two sisters and three brothers.
Nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
