Obituary of Marguerite Bolding Golden

Funeral services for Mrs. Marguerite Bolding Golden , 92, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. L.H. McCollough and Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Mrs. Golden, a retired teacher from the West Carroll Parish School system, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a sunday school teacher and member of First Baptist Church for many years, a 50 year member of the General William Caroll Chapter of the DAR and a 50 year member of the Sunny South Chapter #12 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Golden is survived by her daughter, Sandra Golden Ferrell and husband Carlton of Bastrop, LA; son, Robert Golden and wife Sandra of Ball, LA; two sisters, Ann Taylor of Conroe, TX, Barbara Neustrom of Lafayette, LA; brother, Merlin Bolding of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Borden Townsend and wife Renee of Bastrop, LA, Tonya Hawkins and husband Kevin of Monroe, LA, Julie Townsend and husband Joe of Bastrop, LA, Marguerite Nelson of Bastrop, LA and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Borden Golden; grandson, Jason Nelson; five brothers and one sister. Serving as pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church: Louis Floyd, Boots Gladney, Jerry Ball, George Winnon, Tommy Culp and Jim Bonsall. Visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2005 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
