Funeral services for Gladys Copeland Sweat, age 78, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Redwing Cemetery.
Mrs. Sweat, a resident of Queen City, TX, formerly of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred Copeland; sister, Elizabeth Stewart; brother, Floyd Copeland, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Mary Morgan and Roy Jeffcoat.
Mrs. Sweat is survived by her five children, Toni Wilson, Brenda Powell, Emily Jeffcoat, Deborah Clack, Emmett Clack; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Copeland.
