Obituary of Mary Ann Guice Tumlinson

Funeral services for Mary Ann Guice Tumlinson, age 69, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Traylor officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Tumlinson, a resident of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013. Prior to retirement, she was a real estate broker in Jackson, MS for many years. Mrs. Tumlinson was affiliated with Bourne-McGehee Better Homes and Gardens Realty Franchise, one of the largest agencies in Jackson. She had also served as President of MLS in Jackson, MS. She is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Tumlinson, MD; parents, Delton and Annie Guice; and brothers, Thomas Dean, Billie Guice, and Donald Guice. Mrs. Tumlinson is survived by her son, William B. "Chip" Tumlinson, Jr. of Gautier, MS; granddaughter, Gabby Tumlinson of Ocean Springs, MS; two sisters, Carol Guice Robertson of Monroe, LA, Nancy Guice Doles and husband Mike of Jones, LA; nieces, Faye Clarke and husband Tom, Susan Barksdale and husband Don, Buffy Goodson, Jamie Hoston and husband Sam, Opal West; nephew, John M. Goodson; great nieces, Megan Crymes, Sophie Barksdale, Amanda Goodson, Layton Hoston; great nephews, Derek Barksdale, Lane Clarke, Austin Goodson, Delton Goodson, Truett Hoston, and Gerald Langley. Serving as pallbearers are Chip Tumlinson, Tom Clarke, Don Barksdale, John Goodson, Lane Clarke, and Austin Goodson. Mike Doles will be an honorary pallbearer.
