Obituary of Charles Henry Jackson

Mr. Charles Henry Jackson of Bonita, LA was born March 20, 1932 and passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the age 81. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at New Hope Cemetery, Jones, LA, with Rev. John White officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson was a retired employee of over 40 years at International Paper Company. He was a marine veteran of the Korean war and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. Mr. Jackson is survived by his daughters, Deborah Herrington, Michelle Turnbow and husband Todd; sisters in law, Verna Ferrell, Lillie Herrington, Louise Petty and husband George, Joyce Stewart; grandchildren, Emily Graves and husband Mike, Andrea Courson, Brandy Hatfield and husband Josh, Jennifer Turnbow; great grandchildren, Seth Allen, Tyler Herrington, Brock Jenkins, Chloe Jenkins, Mallory Jenkins, Kolson Jenkins, Leah Turnbow, Carson Turnbow, Shelby Courson, Dylan Courson and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lavada Ferrell Jackson, parents, James Alvin and Nora Stewart Jackson and four sisters. Serving as pallbearers are: Frankie Herrington, Pete Blakeney, Justin Blakeney, Nick Herrington, Justin Weddle and Cliff Ferrell. Honorary pallbearers are: Roy McDonald, Ronnie Turner and Thomas Johnson.
