Obituary of Gatlin Channing Mitchell

Funeral services for Gatlin Channing Mitchell, age 8, of Beekman, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church, Crossett, AR, with Rev. Lloyd Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Crossett under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Gatlin was a first grade student at Beekman Charter School and attended Jarvis Chapel Church. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, fishing and loved being outdoors. Gatlin is survived by his father, Kenneth Mitchell of Beekman, LA; mother, Brandi Sivils Fratesi of Crossett, AR; maternal grandfather, Billy Tharp of Bastrop, LA; maternal grandmother, Deborah Sivils of Crossett, AR; siblings, Alexis Fratesi of Crossett, AR, Kenneth Franklin "Frankie" Mitchell, II, of Beekman, LA, Serenity Mitchell; uncles and aunts, Jaden and Lynn Sivils of Virginia; Bradley Mitchell of Bastrop, LA, Greg and Cealy Mitchell of Bastrop, LA, JoAnn Parker Tucker of Crossett, AR and two nieces. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Franklin E. and Martha Jane Mitchell; maternal grandfather, Allen Reitzell and maternal great grandmother, Willie Mae Sivils. Pallbearers will be, Chris Gill, Josh Martin, Dustin Walker, Bryson Gill, Tucker Carter and Thomas Carter. Honorary pallbearers are James Outlaw, Ronnie Tucker, Harold Tucker, Carroll Parker and Cale Gill. Visitation will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 from 12 noon until 6 PM at the church.
