Obituary of Lois W. Watson

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lois W. Watson, age 93, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at Christ Church Cemetery with Rev. Henry Stone officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson was a retired bookkeeper at the J.C. Penny's store in Bastrop for 35 years. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and served with the ladies auxiliary at Morehouse General Hospital. Mrs. Watson was also known to be an excellent cook. She passed away Saturday, October 26, 2010 at Lagnaippe Health Care. She is survived by her son, Jerry Watson and wife Gloria of Bastrop, LA; sister, Lesba White of Bastrop, LA; brother, Ed Warren of Mansfield, LA; grandaughters, Lori Wallace and husband Jack of Bastrop, LA, Joni Eckles and husband Jim of Mer Rouge, LA, Tami Watson of Bastrop, LA, Karen Watson of Shreveport, LA, Cheryl Watson and husband Ben of New Iberia, LA; five great grandsons; two great great grandsons and one great great granddaughter. Mrs. Watson is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Watson; son, James R. "Bob" Watson; sister, Jewel Cobb and a brother, J.E. Warren, Jr. Serving as pallbearers are: Caleb Wallace, Cole Wallace, Jamie White, Bryan White, Jr., Cameron Deere and William Walton Patrick.
