Obituary of Bertha Mae Holland

Funeral services for Bertha Mae Holland, age 90, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Couch and Rev. Scott Reiber officiating. Interment will follow in Tillou Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 noon until service time. Mrs. Holland, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She passed away after a lengthy illness at her residence in Vicksburg, MS, where she had been living with her daughter for the last several years. She was of the Christian faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Byard E. & Lula Smith; and husband, Preston Holland. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Olin & husband Gary of Vicksburg, MS; two sisters, Lillie Pearl Carr of Hamburg, AR, Willie Bell Couch of Bastrop, LA; brother, Ray Smith of Bastrop, LA; three grandchildren, Kim Carr, Tracy Hopkins, Max Polk; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Doss, Billy Watkins, Cody Benard, Scott Benard, Al Smith, and Johnny Naff.
