Obituary of Margaret H. Hensley

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret H. Hensley, 80, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hensley, a retired nurse,was born November 22, 1927 and passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care Center. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and cooking for her family. While living at Cherry Ridge Guest Care, she cared for the flowers as well as assisting the other residents and staff in any way possible. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Andrews and husband Ronald, Elaine McKinley and husband John, Lynn Loggins and husband Johnny; three sisters, Sissy Echlin, Sue Barnes, Shirley McCrovic; two brothers, Billy Harrison, J.L. Harrison; nine grandchildren, Judy Grant, Tammy Webb, Dawn Griffis, Brandy Hamm, John Nelson, Chris Nelson, Alicia Trichel, Chelsea Beach and Robert Todd Gradbury; eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Mrs. Hensley is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, C.H. "Red" Hensley; son, George "Bubba" Hensley; two sisters, Edith Gay, Frances Barnes and a brother, Delbert "Bo" Harrison. Serving as pallbearers are: Fred Hensley, Clayton Henry Hensley, Chester Hensley, Chuck Hensley, Mike Nelson and Danny Barmore. Honorary pallbearers are: Charles Hensley, Roger Hensley, Donald Hensley and Dr. Clint Netherland.
