Obituary of Kenneth Edward (Buddy) Adams

Kenneth Edward (Buddy) Adams, a life-long resident of Bonita, LA, died suddenly at home on November 13, 2013. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. John White officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Jones, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Adams was born in 1944 in West Palm Beach, FL, while his father was stationed at Morrison Army Airfield. He was raised in Bonita, LA, and graduated from Bonita High School before serving in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed as a logger, lumberman, and farmer. Whether tending to his crops or caring for stray animals, he had a great respect for life in all its forms. Above all, he loved his family, his friends, and his border collies. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward (Ted) Adams. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Adams; one daughter, Mary Adams and her husband Brandon Glenn of Monroe, LA; two sons, Bradley Adams and Stephen Adams of Bonita, LA; his mother, Mabel Adams of Bonita, LA. He is also survived by four siblings; Katherine Key and husband JW of Monroe, LA; Esther Johnson and husband Ed of Bonita, LA; Harry Adams and wife Debbie of Bastrop, LA; Denver Adams of Oak Grove, LA; and many nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Morehouse Humane Society.
