Obituary of Homer Patrick "Pat" McMullan

Funeral services for Mr. Homer Patrick "Pat" McMullan, age 70, of Bastrop, La, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Rev. Rayburn McLarrin officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. McMullan was a retired instrument electrician at International Paper Company, member of Bonita Road Baptist Church and a Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a member of the Gideons International and a lifetime member of the NRA. He passed away at his residence Wednesday, December 4, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Fay McMullan; daughter, Stacey McMullan Pullen and husband Kevin of Bastrop, LA; brother William McMullan and wife Eleanor of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Matthew Dane Pullen, Joseph Pullen, John Patrick McMullan all of Bastrop, LA, Erin Shockey and husband Dustin, Connor McMullan, Devin McMullan all of Bossier City, LA and great grandchild, D.J. Shockey. Mr. McMullan is preceded in death by his parents Wirt and Lorena McMullan; son, Ricky McMullan and a brother Wirt McMullan, Jr. Serving as pallbearers: Kenneth Ramsey, Joseph Pullen, John Patrick McMullan, Charles Johnson, Allen Boatright, and Boyce Copeland. Honorary pallbearers are: Matthew Dane Pullen, Tommy Watts, Ronnie Roberts, Shad Scarlett, Charlie Smith, Steve Callaway, Lamar Greer, Oma Lee and William McMullan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gideons International.
