Obituary of Irene J. Fife

Funeral services for Mrs. Irene J. Fife, age 83 of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Central Church of Christ with Mr. Waymon Swain and Mr. Buddy Frost officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until service time Wednesday at Central Church of Christ. Mrs. Fife, a member and retired secretary of Central Church of Christ for 34 years, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 in Bastrop, LA. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Harkness and husband Tim of Collinston, LA; sons, Brad Fife of Collinston, LA, Milton Fife and wife Amber of Bastrop, LA; sister, Jeanell Best of Morrilton, AR; brother, Charlie Johnson and wife Peggy of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Shalene Harkness, Chad Harkness and wife Lou Ellen, Dane Harkness, Eric Walker, P.J. Fife; nine great grandchildren; special nieces, Pam Stokes, Florene Vinning and numerous other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fife is preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Fife; her parents; sons, Patrick Eugene Fife, Gary Lee Fife; four brothers, Woodie, J.W., Irie and Junior Johnson. Serving as pallbearers will be, Lloyd Swain, Terry Tanksley, Kenneth Looney, Tanny Tully, Chad Harkness, Dane Harkness. Honorary pallbearer is Mark Goodson.
