Obituary of Marilyn Corley Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Marilyn Corley Hill, age 84, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January, 9, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Hill, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a homemaker and an office assistant with Cindy McGrew Accounting. She was a member of the Potpourri Study Club and a very faithful member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill was a Sunday School member at First Baptist Church where she also served on the Hospitality Committee that served meals to homebound church members monthly. Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Helen Corley; husband, Carroll O. Hill; son, Charles Richard Hill; brother, Billy Corley; sister-in-law, Joyce Corley. She is survived by her daughter, Lauralyn Hill Norsworthy and husband Steve of Bastrop, LA; son, John Carroll Hill and wife Terry of Bastrop, LA; loving twin sister, Carolyn C. Williams and husband Robert of Bastrop, LA; and four grandchildren, Richard Jeremy Hill and wife Ashley, Valerie Megan Hill, William Seth Norsworthy, Molly Carroll Norsworthy, all of Bastrop, LA. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
