Obituary of Ralph Edward Herring

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Edward Herring, age 71, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Sterlington, LA, with Rev. J.E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bastrop, LA. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Herring, a Master Craftsman, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the American Legion, and active in the VFW. Mr. Herring will be remembered as always willing to help anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Annie Herring. Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Herring; children, Marci Herring Roy and husband Richard of Grand Junction, CO, John Herring and wife Rachel of Mesa, AZ, Kimberly Garza and Jerry Hardie of West Monroe, LA, Scott Herring and wife Angie of Rocky Branch, LA; step-children, Tye Sharpe and wife Brandie of El Dorado, AR, Jennifer Wilson and husband Donnie of Bastrop, LA, Steve Calhoun of Oregon, Sherry Clingan of Goodwill, LA, Sue Anna Tate of Oak Grove, LA, Sonya Calhoun of Bastrop, LA, Raymond Walker of Forest, LA, David Rando of Silsbee, TX; five brothers, Glenn Herring and wife Rose, Lee Herring and wife Mary, Ronald Herring and wife Lorraine, Roger Herring and wife Mary Lou, Merle and wife Janice; one sister, Linda Shaver and husband Bob; many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and one great grandson.
