Obituary of Michael Drew "Mike" Bandy

Graveside services for Mr. Michael Drew "Mike" Bandy, age 66, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Bandy, a disabled veteran and member of the American Legion, passed away at his residence Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was a U.S. veteran with the U.S. Merchant Marines. Mr. Bandy is survived by his wife, Carol Ellis; step children, Lisa Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA, Thomas Ellis and Jennifer of Monroe, LA, Billie Jean Frost and Clem Sturdivant of West Monroe, LA; sister, Lynda Croswell and husband John of Bastrop, LA; step grandchildren, Joshua Ellis, Cristy Ellis, Smokey Hosea, Alexis Hosea, Jacob Ellis, Deanna Ellis, Hannah Ellis, Katelyn Corbin, Kori Corbin, C.J. Sturdivant and step great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ellis, Madelynn Hosea and Natalie Hosea. Mr. Bandy is preceded in death by his parents, H.D. and Mary P. Bandy and a brother, Thomas Lloyd Bandy.
