Obituary of Helen Joyce Croswell Corley

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Joyce Croswell Corley, age 78, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Corley, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is a retired bank teller at Bastrop National Bank. Mrs. Corley enjoyed reading and especially loved being with her family. Mrs. Helen Corley is survived by two daughters, Donna Lynne Johnson and husband Bob of Bastrop, LA, Phyllis Ann Dew and husband Don of Bastrop, LA; one son, James William Corley, Jr. and wife Gale of West Monroe, LA; one sister, Frances Gould of St. Bernard, LA; two brothers, Bill Croswell of Bastrop, LA, Doyle Croswell of Bastrop, LA; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Rader of Bastrop, LA, Claire Rosenzweig of Monroe, LA, Ryan Corley of Conway, SC, Matt Corley of Conway, SC, Jeannie Lewis of West Monroe, LA, Jessica Green of West Monroe, LA, Chris Johnson of Monroe, LA, Robert Johnson of Bastrop, LA; seven great grandchildren, Lauragrace Rader, Falyn Johnson, Carter Rosenzweig, Javin Lewis, David Lewis, Gavin Green, and Gabe Green. She is preceded in death by her husband, James William "Billy" Corley, her parents, Clark and Moree Croswell, and her brother, Hubert Croswell. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Corley, Matt Corley, Chris Johnson, Robert Johnson, David Rader, and Nick Rosenzweig.
