Obituary of Shelbie Linn Brown

Funeral services for Shelbie Linn Brown, age 22, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Richmond, Jr. and Rev. Robert Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Shelbie, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Lorene Candy Brown, great grandmothers, JoAnn Rushing and Avis Alsup, and great grandfather, Dewey Brown. She is survived by her parents, Rodney Gene Brown and wife Ginger of Collinston, LA; parent, Shana Allen Hamrick of Bastrop, LA; sister, Shawnee Brown of Bastrop, LA; brother, Kaylon Brown of Bastrop, LA; maternal grandparents, Donnie Allen of Bastrop, LA, Trudy Hight and husband Tom of Sterlington, LA; paternal grandparents, T.C. and Jill Brown of Monroe, LA, Roger and Patty Midkiff of Leesville, LA; great grandparents, Johnnie Brown of Shreveport, LA, Herman Rushing of Bastrop, LA, Edna Johnson of Malvern, AR, Mickey Perkins of Leesville, LA; fiance, B.J. Tyson of Pioneer, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Dean Brown, Shane Brown, Roger Midkiff, Jr., Timmy Shano, Jeremy Cooper, Jesse Tyson, Dywayne Kellum, and Matt Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Midkiff, Keith Midkiff, and Layton Thompson.
