Obituary of Louise D. Britt

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise D. Britt, age 90, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Goodman and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery, Delhi, LA. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Britt, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and an Eastern Star member of the Delhi chapter. Mrs. Britt loved crafts, reading, and baking. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan W. Britt; son, Danny Charles Britt; parents, Charlie B. and Clara Ray Dixon; brother, Charlie Boyd Dixon; and sister, Jessie Marie Biddy. Mrs. Britt is survived by her daughter, Ginger Mandell and husband Elliott of San Antonio, TX; son, Lewis Britt of New Orleans, LA; three sisters, Muriel Flowers of Crowville, LA, Lila G. Lord of Bastrop, LA, Beba Ray Regan of Clinton, MS; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are: Fred Sivils, Glasscell Morris, Kody Carroll, Elliott Mandell, Thomas E. Lord, Jr. and Jim Merriweather. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
