Obituary of Thomas L. Dew

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas L. Dew, age 96, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Pat Hamilton, Bro. Adam Kuipers and Bro. Ernie Glass officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Dew, a resident of Collinston, LA, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. He was a farmer in West Carroll Parish, operated a service station for over 25 years and also ran Morehouse Central Water Company in Collinston. He was a member of the Christadelphian Ecclesia for 61 years. Mr. Dew was born February 11, 1917 in West Carroll Parish. He is preceded in death by his parents, Zemrie and Fannie Dew; sister, Estelle Dew Gatlin; and a son, Dale Dew. Mr. Dew is survived by his wife of 74 years, Johnie Kathleen Dew; one daughter, Joann Dew Corley and husband Carl of Jena, LA; three sons, Thomas Harold Dew and wife Rose of Sterlington, LA, Ben Patrick Dew and wife Jeanne of Sterlington, LA, Steven Curtis Dew and wife Brinda of Bastrop, LA; three brothers, Henry Dew and wife Irene, Bruin Dew, Jewel Dew all of Bastrop, LA; nine grandchildren, Carla Turcotte and husband Rob, Kirby Corley and wife Brandy, Keri McNeely and husband Tony, Sam Dew and wife Misty, Tiffany Bryant and husband Daniel, Brittany Sparks and husband Luke, Megan Dew, Steven Dew II and fiancee' Nehana Kneebush, Della Sistrunk and husband Adam; and fourteen great grandchildren, Justin Turcotte, Emily Turcotte, Brianna Corley, Robert Corley, Cody McNeely, Jessi McNeely, Eli Dew, Bryce Dew, Ally Bryant, Emma Bryant, Jasmine Sparks, Victoria Sparks, Conley Sistrunk and Beau Sistrunk. Pallbearers will be; Kirby Corley, Sam Dew, Steven Dew II, Tony McNeely, Justin Turcotte, Adam Sistrunk, Luke Sparks and Cody McNeely. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
