Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Virginia "Virgie" Cain Stringer, age 91, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Causey Cemetery with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stringer, a retired Receptionist and Bookkeeper with The Animal Hospital of West Monroe, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. She was a resident of Bastrop, an avid gardener and an excellent cook. Mrs. Stringer will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John D. Stringer; brother, Victor O. Cain; two sisters, Pauline Poole, Austie Cain; and son-in-law, Carl Danielsen.
Mrs. Stringer is survived by two daughters, Lorna Danielsen of Boca Raton, FL, Sharon Wallace and husband Gerald of Bastrop, LA; son, John Stringer and wife Peggy of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Keith Wallace and wife Terrisa of Bryant, AR, Jamie Landry and husband Pat of Flippin, AR, Lt. Colonel Brian Wallace and wife Chi-Suk of Austin, TX, John Phillip Stringer and wife Cheryl of Sterlington, LA; seven great grandchildren and special niece, Joan Moore of Calhoun, LA.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank you" to Lagniappe Healthcare for taking such wonderful care of Mrs. Stringer.
