Obituary of William Riley White

Funeral services for Mr. William Riley White, age 79, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby White officiating. Interment will follow in LA-ARK Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. White, a retired employee of General Motors, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and sports, especially football and baseball. He also served his country in the National Guard. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Tiernan and Kim White, both of Bastrop, LA; sons, Billy White and wife Kim of Pontiac, MI, Alan White and wife Beth of Ortonville, MI, Glen White and wife Deb of Pontiac, MI; sister, Margie Pardue of Bastrop, LA; brothers, Jerry White of Mer Rouge, LA, Robert White of Start, LA, George White of El Dorado, AR; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Mr. White is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Goodson White; granddaughter, Grace Ann Witcher; brothers, Oscar White, Don White, Charles White, Jr. and Richard White; sisters, Joann Francisco and Grace Witcher. Pallbearers will be; Jimmy White, Colin White, Matt Batson, Don Honaker, Jacob Witcher and Ryan Wilkerson. Visitation will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Harmony Baptist Church.
