Obituary of Michael Robertson

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Robertson, age 74, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Robertson, a resident of Bastrop, LA and a retired Professional Truck Driver, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. Mr. Robertson was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband and father, and he loved to fish. Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents, Barney Wilson and Aline Sawyer Robertson; two children, Michael Wayne and Clifford Earl Robertson. Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Brown Robertson; two sons, Paul Samuel Robertson and Shana of Bastrop, LA, Barney Wilson Robertson of West Monroe, LA; one daughter, Laurel Ann Robertson Guye and husband Clifton of Edmondson, OK; Michael's siblings, Flint W. Robertson, Jimmy W. Robertson and wife Anita, Terry M. Robertson and wife Annette, Susan Robertson Whitworth and husband David all of Bastrop, LA, Karen Robertson Gray of Swartz, LA; grandchildren, Holley and Michael Curtis, Dewayne, Holden, Chelsea, Jeanne Marie, Robin, Heath, Chris, and Cody; and one great grand child, Drew. Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Carney, Daniel Carney, Damon Carney, Terry Gray, Jerry Potter, Steve Sweat, Bruce Musgrove, and John Williams. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home.
