Obituary of Allie A. Pennington

Funeral services for Mr. Allie A. Pennington, age 67, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Mr. Waymon Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Mr. Pennington, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2104 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was retired from the US Air Force and currently employed as a computer system specialist. Mr. Pennington was a member of Central Church of Christ in Bastrop. He will be remembered as a man who loved life. Mr. Pennington is preceded in death by his father, Samuel G. Pennington, and sister, Dolores Lyn Pennington. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Chuen Pennington of Bastrop, LA; daughter, Lanlie Pennington-Tubbs and husband Mark of Haughton, LA; mother, Littie Jean Pennington of Bastrop, LA; three brothers, Allen Pennington and wife Carolyn of Sante Fe, TX, Danny Pennington and wife Sandy of Choudrant, LA, Randy Pennington of Ruston, LA; and two grandchildren, Amber Tubbs and Ryan Tubbs. Serving as pallbearers are Mark Tubbs, Ryan Tubbs, Roy Dale Hughes, Sam Pennington, John Pennington, and Ben Pennington. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. Joe Nichols and Ollie Hughes. A special family friend is Mrs. Tommie Swain. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
