Private graveside funeral services for Mr. C.V. Dopson, age 83, were held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Dopson, a resident of Mer Rouge, LA, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired senior purchasing agent. Mr. Dopson was preceded in death by his parents, C.V. Dopson, Sr. and Flora Beatrice Dopson.
He is survived by his five children, Vicki Lynn Dopson Cox of China, Lori Jean Dopson Vinson of Henderson, TX, Angela Jo Green Mason of Arp, TX, Sonya Green Davison of Katy, TX, Clair V. Dopson III of Goose Creek, SC; two sisters, Vivian Ainsworth of Mountain View, AR, Dorothy Ann Rutledge of Horn Lake, MS; two granddaughters; five grandsons; two great granddaughters; and one great grandson.
Serving as pallbearers will be C.V. Dopson IV, Jake Dopson, Charlie Rutledge, Neal Vinson, Jimmy Mason, and Jimmy Mason, Jr.
A Memorial Tree was planted for C.V.
