A graveside memorial service for Mr. Carl N. Wright, age 83, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Ebeneezer Presbyterian Cemetery in Strong, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Wright, a resident of Mer Rouge, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was born June 13, 1925 in Manila, AR. He was a World War II veteran having served with the Combat Engineers of the U.S. Army's Second Division. He was an agriculture and cattle farmer and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John E. Wright & Mary Tinnin Wright; wife, Mona Wright; brother, Kenneth L. Wright; three sisters, Hazel Shopher, Margaret Cromwell, Maxine Mason; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Wright is survived by eight children, Bonita Scroggins & husband James, Mary Beth Uehling & husband Jerry, Jane West & husband Curt, Jennifer Bendily & husband Don, Nancy Wright, Buddy Wright, Kathy Gilbreath, Steven Wright & wife Theresa; sister, Joan Walker; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty three great grandchildren.
