Obituary of Dianne McKoin

Funeral services for Ms. Dianne McKoin, age 67, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Young officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 at Golden Funeral Home. Ms. McKoin, a resident of Monroe, LA, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. Ms. McKoin was retired from the US Postal Service with over 25 years of service. She was an artist and enjoyed fishing. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Ms. McKoin is survived by her children, Staci Elizabeth Van Horne and husband Don of Monroe, LA, Troy Dee Polk of Monroe, LA, Todd Polk of Monroe, LA; parents, Marvin Lee McKoin and Rita McKoin of Jones, LA; sisters, Jackie Young and husband George of Monroe, LA, Cindy Peralto and husband Alfred of Wilmot, AR, Bessie Reynolds and husband Kevin of Wilmot, AR; brothers, Lee McKoin of Bonita, LA, Dallas McKoin of Wilmot, AR, Steven McKoin and wife Jan of Wilmot, AR; grandchildren, Jacob Polk, Steele Polk, Victoria Polk, Lucien Polk, Chance Burns, Austin Van Horne, Jaden Van Horne, Tristan Polk, Jett Polk, Boggan Polk; one great grandchild; and special friend, Sandra Harp. Serving as pallbearers will be Jake Johnson, Ben Johnson, Clay Johnson, Jeff Bayer, Trey Moyer, and Chad Grice. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the donor's local church.
