Graveside service for Bessie Hughes Jowers, age 87, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Carter Cemetery in Collinston, LA with Rev. J.T. Wheat officiating.
Mrs. Jowers, a homemaker and member of First Apostolic Church, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care.
She is survived by foster son, Mike Campbell and wife Glenda of West Monroe, LA; three sisters, Laura Guillory and husband Horace of Lake Charles, LA, Faye Dixon and husband Bill of Texas, Molly Childs of Texas; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Hughes of Bastrop, LA, K.P. Hughes and wife Wanda of Bastrop, LA; niece, Frances Hawthorne and husband James of Bastrop, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jowers is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Jowers, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 9 AM until 1 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
