Funeral services for Mr. Carl Raymond Bienz, 84, of Collinston, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Myrick, Rev. Troy Patrick and Rev. Robert Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in Bonne Idee Cemetery.
Mr. Bienz, a retired electrician from International Paper company, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was a member of the Local IBEW and served his country in the Merchant Marines. Mr. Bienz leaves behind his wonderful church family at Collinston Assembly of God Church, many, many former co-workers, friends and families. He also loved his yearly trips with his wife and sister-in-law to the Elim Bible Camp in Colorado to help with various mission activities.
He is survived by his wife, Omega Adams Bienz; stepdaughters, Patsy Taylor of Swartz, LA, Yvonne Tyson and husband Jim of Sterlington, LA; son, Brian Scott Bienz of Collinston, LA; stepsons, Grady Rinehart and wife Amy of Sterlington, LA, Gary Rinehart of Collinston, LA; twelve step grandchildren and twenty step great grandchildren.
Mr. Bienz is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vadis Bienz; sons, Carlton Ray Bienz, Mark Steven Bienz; sisters, Josephine Myrick and Marie Jones.
Pallbearers will be Gary Rinehart, Grady Rinehart, Barry Thomas, Brian Bienz, Jeremy Myrick and Jeffery Kinney. James Turner will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. service time at Goldens.
