Obituary of Christopher "Chris" James Tribe

Funeral services for Mr. Christopher "Chris" James Tribe, age 44, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. James Bullock, Marty Kutz and Kevin McCloud officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Tribe passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was employed as a night time stocker at Walmart. Chris loved his Lord, his mother, dad, brother and family. He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church. Chris also had a special love for his classic 69 Cheverolet pick-up truck and enjoyed fishing, antiquing, collecting guns and knives, and spending time at the beach in Gulf Shores with his family. He is survived by his parents, Joseph F. Tribe, Jr. and Florence Tribe, of Bastrop, LA; brother, Quint J. Tribe and wife Maryann of Gulf Shores, AL; four nieces, Whitney, Courtney and Fiancee Milton, Hannah and Maranda; nephew, Jonathan and a great niece, Kennedy. Mr. Tribe is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Lila Brekeen and Joseph and Lucille Tribe. Serving as pallbearers are: Johathan Thompson, Mike Blakely, Richard LaCaze, Scott Moulis, Ricky Gross and Josh Gross. Honorary pallbearers are: Milton Hebert, Keith Gross, Christian Gross and Justin Gross.
