Obituary of Jr. Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Jesse D. Brown, Jr., age 77, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 4PM Saturday, April 5, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Ingram and Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9AM until 12 noon at the Golden Funeral Home. Mr Brown owned Bastrop Printing, and served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S Army. He was a member and Deacon at First Baptist Church. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 34 years, Anne McCormack Brown; three daughters, Nancy Brown Coats and husband James of Bastrop, LA, Kim Cox Buffington and husband Guy of Bastrop, LA. Sherry D. Hattaway and husband John of Bastrop, LA;his son, Don Edward Honaker and wife Mary of Benton, LA; his grandchildren, Don E. Honaker III, Sarah A. Wilkerson and husband Ryan, Crystal A. Fleming, Derek A. Fleming and wife Anna, and John Peyton Hattaway: his great grandchildren, Ethan B. Fleming, Mason K. Freeland, Kaylee Fleming , and Tristan Wilkerson. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Brown, Sr. and Maggie Brown; brother ,Thomas Brown, and a grandson, Tyler Coats. Serving as pallbearers will be Ranny Johnston, Jack McCormack, Caston McCormack, Mike Brown, Mickey Wayne Brown, and George Winnon. The Deacons of First Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
