Obituary of Margaret Merriman

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Merriman, 85, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. L.H. McCollough and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Crest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Merriman was born June 13, 1925 in Truman, AR. She was a retired employee of Timex Watch Company with over 30 years of service. She had been a resident of Bastrop, LA for many years. Mrs. Merriman died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Red" Merriman; parents, William and Alma Funkhouser; sister, Betty Sue Snow; and brother, "Buster" Funkhouser. Mrs. Merriman is survived by her sister, Lorene Miller Brown of McNeil, AR; niece, Alma Hughes and husband Doug of Bastrop, LA; nephews, Billy Funkhouser and wife Nona of Eudora, AR, Preston Miller and wife Rita of DeKalb, TX; several other nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Pearl Robinson of North Little Rock, AR, who is a blessing to all who know her.
