Obituary of Bobbye June Jacob

Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbye June Jacob, age 82, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2014 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Jacob, a resident of Bastrop and retired employee of Morehouse General Hospital, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was also a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Rhonda Jacob Johnson, Cheryl Jacob McCrary and husband Randy both of Bastrop, La; sister, Connie Sue Morris and husband Donald Ray of Bastrop, LA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Casey McCrary, Jacob McCrary, Jessica Hammersla, Megan Johnson, Jarrod David Jacob, Lindsey Diel, and Sydney Deere; nine great grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Madison Hammersla, Layton Hammersla, Aislynn Johnson, Bryce Dew, Ashlynne Jacob, Abrielle Jacob, Audree Diel, and Addison Deere; and one great-great granddaughter Avalynn Havens. Mrs. Jacob is preceded in death by her husband Walter Z. Jacob, her son David Walter Jacob, and her grandson, Jeremiah Johnson. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Dollar, Randy McCrary, John Morris, Baxter Morris, John Broadnax, and Joe Hammersla.
