Mrs. Merlean Fontenot Crye "Granny", age 73, of Mer Rouge, LA went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2008. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Mrs. Crye leaves behind two sons, Don Crye and wife Chong of Bastrop, LA, Curtis Crye and wife Tina of Mer Rouge, LA; daughter, Karen Crye of Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Walter Fontenot of Bastrop, LA and a sister, Margie Hembree of Bastrop, LA.
She is preceded in death by husband, C.L. Crye and a son, Robert Wayne Crye.
Her family will perform the honor of being pallbearers for the one who performed many acts of love and kindness for them throughout our lives.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Golden Funeral Home.
