Obituary of Debra Johnson Dance

Funeral services for Debra Johnson Dance, age 55, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. William Sikes officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Dance, a homemaker, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. She loved all types of animals. She is survived by her life partner, James Moore; daughters, Crystal Jasay Rogers of Sterlington, LA, Nickie Dance Lalonde and husband Josh of Baton Rouge, LA, Patience Dance, also of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Brianna Rogers, Gabriel Rogers, both of Sterlington, LA, Kayden Lalonde of Baton Rouge, LA; mother, Geneva Johnson of Bastrop, LA; brothers, Allen Johnson and wife Denise of Monroe, LA, Larry Johnson of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Kathy Holland, Barbie Johnson and husband Bubba Cliburn, both of Bastrop, LA and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dance is preceded in death by her father, Willie Johnson; and grandparents, Shelby and Ella Thompson. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Trey Yeates, David Dance, Joe Johnson, and Harold Holland.
