Graveside funeral services for Mr. Joel "Smiley" Hoffman, age 68, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Gary Bankson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Hoffman, a resident of Collinston, LA, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mable Hoffman; son, Robert Isaac Hoffman; sister, Virginia Bonner; and brother, Richard Hoffman.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Green and husband Coyte; granddaughter, Katie Funderburg; step-sons, Joseph Edward Bamburg, Alton Ray Harper; two sisters, Mary Singh, Dorothy Emmert and husband Hugh; brother, Robert Hoffman; sister-in-law, Reba Hoffman; and lifetime partner, Mary Ann Gregory.
