Funeral services for Rev. Zack E. Gibson, 86, of Ruston, LA, formerly of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. John Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery (Crossett, AR). Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Gibson, a retired employee of International Paper Co. and a U.S. Navy veteran, passed away Monday, July, 28 2008 at the Princton Place in Ruston, LA. He was an ordained Assembly of God minister for fifty years having pastored at Bonne Idee Assembly of God, Trinity Assembly of God, and Marion First Assembly of God church.
He has survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Norma Gibson; three daughters, Linda Robinson and husband Leroy of Beekman, LA, Judy Milford and husband Ronny of Choudrant, LA, Terri Gibson of Gonzales, LA; sister, Frances Ladell Holland of Wynne, AR; eight grandchildren, Tamara, Shay, Jason, Justin, Ashley, Rusty, Jacob, Katy and eight great grandchildren, Haley, Emily, Ryan, Evan, Ethan, Miranda, Hallie and Bailey.
Rev. Gibson is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gibson; brother, Charles Gibson and a nephew, Mark Gibson.
Serving as pallbearers are Ray Janway, Ronny Milford, Ryan Wilkerson, Ray Wilkerson, Michael Barger, and Jacob Barger.
Honorary pallbearers are Jason Robinson, Justin Milford and Evan Wilkerson.
