Obituary of Edie Vell Dew

Funeral services for Mrs. Edie Vell Dew, age 82, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Dew, a homemaker, passed away Friday, August 1, 2008 at LeGrand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Bastrop and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was loved by everyone and had a beautiful smile. She is preceded in death by her parents, Beachum and Minnie Perry; husband, Oliver Acreman; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Jewel Dew; one daughter, Sue Dew of Virginia Beach, VA; three sons, Kenneth Acreman and wife Glenda of Bastrop, Larry Acreman and wife Renee of Palestine, TX, Ricky Dew and wife Melanie of Bastrop; sister, Dorothy Nell Russum of Pearl, MS; two grandchildren, Angel Cook and husband Mike, Lori Comstock and husband Richard; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cook and Hailey Cook.
