Obituary of Charles Wayne McGee

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Wayne McGee, age 74, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Robert Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. McGee, a resident of Collinston, LA, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. He was a retired International Paper Company maintenance supervisor. Mr. McGee had served his country in the National Guard. He was an avid racer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as being a loving brother, a caring father, a doting grandfather, a jack of all trades and someone who truly enjoyed life. Mr. McGee is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Allie Mae McGee; daughter-in-law, Teresa McGee and a grandson, Zachary Wayne McGee. He is survived by his three sons, Daren and Jennifer McGee of Eureka Springs, AR, Brent and Rhonda McGee of Swartz,LA, Shane McGee of Bastrop, LA; sister, Melva Joy and Jerry Moore of Bastrop, LA; brother, Burl and Jane McGee of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Dena and Jared Robinson of Lowell, AR, Caleb and Jeni McGee of Goldsboro, NC, Ashley McGee and Travis Whitehead of Bastrop, LA, Miah and Trevor Stutts of Dallas, TX, Chelsea McGee and Tyler Stephenson of Bastrop, LA, Eryn McGee Smith of Bastrop, LA, Joey McGee of Bastrop, LA, Makenzie McGee of Eureka Springs, AR and Kira Jayde Frith; great grandchildren, Gabriel Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Tatum McKinley, Kendyl Stephenson; partner and friend, Susan Laing; and mother of his children, Sherry McGee, and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Todd Spear, Andy Richards, Dan Britt, Chris Freeland, Ronnie Freeland, Christopher Freeland, Mike Adair, Julian Bayless, and James Calhoun. Honorary pallbearers are Lendal Johnston, Freddie Cook, Eddie Jones, Mike Parker, Goldman Moore, Don Johnston, Jim Woods, and Bobby Miller.
