Obituary of Nonnie Taylor

Funeral services for Mrs. Nonnie Taylor, age 93, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Harvey officiating. Burial will be in LA-ARK Cemetery, Jones, LA. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Jones, LA where she was well known, as her husband was a local farmer. She recently celebrated her 93rd birthday with her grandchildren. She remained in her home until her death Monday, May 26, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Taylor; sons, Sam Thomas and Gerald Taylor; daughters, Lou Neighbors, Betty Sue Winters and Arlene Greaud; sisters, Sadie Goleman, Nobbie Wooden; and brothers, James Harris and William Harris. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children, Cecil Thomas, Jr. of Jones, LA, Shirley and Wayne Hatfield of Beekman, LA, Vonceil Wilson of Monroe, LA, Charles Ray Taylor of South Roxana, IL, Donnie and Carol Taylor of Ava, MO; three sisters, Edna McCready of Bastrop, La, Doris and Doyle Roberts of Swartz, LA, Carlene and Don Bryant of Crossett, AR; two brothers, David and June Harris of Bastrop, LA, Donald and Nell Harris of Wilmot, AR; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kyle Johnson, Kris Johnson, K.C. Johnson, Luke Thomas, Corbett Gill and Jeff Trichell. Honorary pallbearers are: Arnold McCready and Don Bryant.
