Obituary of Sr. Hall

Funeral services for Mr. James B. Hall, Sr., age 76, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Culbertson Baptist Church in Union Parish with Rev. Jeremy Myrick and Rev. Jeff May officiating. Interment will follow in Culbertson Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Hall, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away May 28, 2014. He was a member of Hillview Freewill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Irene Hall; second wife, Margaret Ann Hall; mother, Anna Lou Hall; daughters, LaWanna Lowery, Brenda Abney; grandson, Loyd Douglas "Bubba" Lowery, Jr.; step-son, Bo Wooten; two sisters; and one brother. Mr. Hall is survived by his children Melba Sykes and husband Michael of Monroe, LA, James Hall and wife Suzanne of Cleveland, MS, Lori Iles and husband Richard of Atlanta, GA, William Hall and wife Kim of Crossett, AR, Grady Hall and wife Terri of Bastrop, LA, Rebecca Wooten, Michelle Sommers and husband Scott of Monroe, LA, and Kelli Cockrell and husband Tim of Collinston, LA; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Lowery, Jerry Lowery, Cody Richards, Rusty Travis, Tim Cockrell, and Pat Abney. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Cook and Grady Hall.
