Obituary of Lois "Sue" Pierce

Funeral services for Lois "Sue" Pierce, age 90, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Pierce, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at St. Francis North Hospital. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hardy Pierce, and a son, Willard Hardy Pierce, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Ann Smith and husband Ray of Bastrop, Becky DeForest and husband Neal of Bastrop; son, Leland Pierce, Sr. of Bastrop; sister, Ouida Haynes of Monroe; brother, John L. Yates of Sacramento, CA; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. Deacons of Oak Hill Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
