Obituary of Clark Gayden Smith

Memorial services for Clark G. Smith, age 51, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 3 PM Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Stone officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 3 PM Saturday prior to the sevice. He passed away June 4, 2014 at his home in Bastrop. Clark was born in New Orleans, LA, on May, 25, 1963. He spent his younger years in Bastrop, LA. Clark graduated from Bastrop High School in 1981. After attending DeVry Institute of Technology for two years and working several years in Dallas, TX, and Monroe, LA, he entered Louisiana Tech University where he graduated with honors as an electrical engineer. He worked in several states as a contractor. Clark is preceded in death by his father, George G. Smith; his grandparents, George G. and Grace Smith, J.A. and Ethel Livingston; and his nephew, Charles G. Herzog. He is survived by his mother, Sue Smith; sister, Gay Orlando, both of Bastrop, LA; uncles and aunts, Jim Livingston of Bastrop, LA, Barbara Livingston of Monroe, LA, Miriam and Billy Lyons of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Nicholas Herzog of Collinston, LA, and numerous cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
