Obituary of Leslie Renee Elton Smith

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Leslie Renee Elton Smith, age 41, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Beekman Cemetery in Beekman, LA with Bro. Gary "Juice" Guice officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her residence. She was employed as the office manager for the Woman's Clinic at North Monroe. She was a member of the Church of Christ and dearly loved all of her family. Leslie is survived by her husband, James Stacey Smith; mother, Penny Murphy of Bastrop, LA; father, Lewis Elton and wife Dianne of Hamburg, AR; daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Smith and fiance, Corey Boies of Bastrop, LA; sons, James Cameron Smith and Logan Christopher Smith both of Bastrop, LA; grandparents, Bonnie Elton of Hamburg, AR, Katharyn Lilly of Bastrop, LA, father and mother in-law, Charles and Katie Matheny of Bastrop, LA; grandmother in-law, Marcile Matheny; sister in law, Amy Smith Ricks and husband Philip of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Neal Elton and wife Pollyanna of Hamburg, AR, Brent Elton and wife Veronica of Bastrop, LA; four sisters, Rhonda Massey of Old Taylorsville, MS, Sherri Ingram and husband Robert of Bastrop, LA, Charlene Murphy and partner, Marquita Mihaliak of Bastrop, LA, Franny Murphy of Bastrop, LA; two "grandchildren", Alyssa Boies, Gracelynn Clark and five "sisters", Jonette Laing Gray, Karen Laing Clark, Karla Laing Floyd, Staci Scoggins Jones, Dee Sisson Hobson; fourteen nieces and nephews and a host of good friends, relatives and "adopted children" Honorary pallbearers are: Preston Carter, Brian Malone and Michael Goodson.
