Obituary of Sonya M. Gill Greer

Funeral services for Mrs. Sonya M. Gill Greer, 39, of Downsville, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Lala Cooper officiating. Interment will be in the LA-ARK Cemetery near Jones, LA. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Greer, a homemaker and member of Chatham United Methodist Church passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was a graduate of Ouachita High School in 1986. Mrs. Greer is survived by her husband, Bruce Greer; daughter, Caitlen Hinton of Monroe, LA; father, Robert Don Neighbors of Monroe, LA; father and mother in-law, Robert and Elaine Greer of Chatham, LA; grandmother, Nonnie Taylor of Jones, LA; brother, Corbett Gill of Doyline, LA and step-sisters, Cindy Murray and husband Jerry of Memphis, TX and Leslie Foster and husband Joe of Memphis, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lou Neighbors and a brother, Dallas Quinn Gill. Serving as pallbearers are: Regan McDowell, Perry Pee, Albert Waller, Youral Winegeart, Kris Johnson and Joe Foster. Honorary pallbearers are: Jerry Murray and Kyle Johnson.
